The W2 was Kawasaki's large-displacement follow-on to the Meguro-built K-series, sharing the W1's air-cooled overhead-valve parallel twin layout with a bigger, more powerful setup. It used a conventional tubular cradle frame and drum brakes front and rear, with a kick starter. It did not sell well in the US but was better received in Japan for its character and sound.
